When tribute recreations of cult cars are this good, you’d be a fool to ignore it. This is an eye-catching and faithful tribute to the iconic Ford Mexico, and quite frankly, this car is a fantastic piece of workmanship.

In 2010, a comprehensive rebuild was undertaken that not only presents in an incredible unmarked condition, but with its 110bhp 2.0L Pinto engine, professionally engineered and installed, delivers the drive and fun that I’ve never experienced in a Mk1 before. This is the best Mk1 I’ve driven in my lifetime, and the most fun a Mk1 could deliver.

Originally a base model of the Mk1 Escort, the transformation is incredible, as the car has received much attention and looks stunning in Ford's Olympic blue which, incidentally, is finished to an exemplary standard also. The bodywork has the preferred steel extended ‘bubble’ wheel arches, chassis strengthening including chassis rails, flitch plates, anti-tramp bars, anti-dive kit, 22mm anti-roll bar, upgraded shocks absorbers, springs, vented front brake discs and incredibly, a quick shift type-9 5-speed gearbox and LSD. The engine has a strengthened 205 block, cylinder modifications and a 4-2-1 Ashley Sports exhaust system.

This Escort will be supplied with a host of past MOT’s but no other paperwork. Also included, a 6-month Autoguard national warranty, and finance can be arranged upon request.
