Portraying the quality of a car and the finish of a restoration can be challenging. There are so many incredible things to say about this example and so many details in the paperwork. Words or photos will never do it justice and you’ve got to see it in person to appreciate it.
Honestly if you are looking for one get yourself down here and have a look at this – you will not be disappointed.
Finished in a timeless, glass like Jet Black, the paintwork alone accounted for some 4000-man hours and an assumed £25000. The combination of a brand new full black leather interior, excellent retro dash and instrument dials as well as the gleaming chrome across the car – it is a sensational eye-full. A piece of art and a masterclass in engineering.
It features the correct big-block, big carburettor ‘S’ code 390ci engine and is linked to a four-speed manual transmission driving though a 3.25:1 limited-slip differential.
Included with the car is a photograph album detailing the entire restoration. And best yet, an extensive collection of invoices for the works show thousands of parts were replaced to get this as close to its original specification as possible which was all thanks to perseverance of the owner and restorer.
Also supplied are a selection of MOT certificates, paperwork relating to the shipping and a detailed article in an American car magazine.
In the short space of time this has been in our showroom window it has had more attention from passer-by’s than any other car to date. And, from a few Mustang enthusiasts that we have spoken to, it is their opinion this is the best Fastback they have seen.
This represents to be a very exciting opportunity and Fairmont will gladly deliver having had a fresh oil service and health check.
