Jensen Interceptor MK1
Very rare MK1 Jensen Interceptor presented in Jet Black with red leather interior. UK home market right hand drive car.
Has been the subject of an extensive 3-year long restoration with no expense spared. Completed to a very high standard by specialist company Longstaff Refinishing and we have restoration photos in the file to show prospective buyers.
Only 1,033 MK1 Jensen Interceptors were produced, and we are led to believe that only 7 were built in the original Jet black, with this car being the last remaining genuine Jet black with red leather interior combination.
The exterior was subject to a full bare metal respray and it presents extremely well, in a smooth, glossy, and very clear finish. All the panels fit tightly and the gaps are spot on. The chrome wire wheels are in great condition and are fitted with matching tyres all round with plenty of tread. An additional set of Rostyle wheels shown will also come included with the car. All the exterior chrome has been re-done now looking as good as new.
The seats had a full retrim and present beautifully with all new carpets and headlining fitted.
The original engine was fully rebuilt with new pistons, reskimmed head, new carburettor, new style power steering pump and reconditioned radiator fitted.
The original gearbox was recently checked, serviced and new pipes fitted. Front axle has been reconditioned. New twin stainless steel full exhaust system which sounds amazing. New fuel tank, reconditioned suspension and new brake discs and calipers.
The odometer currently reads just a tad over 1,000 miles and we can confirm this was replaced, with the original showing circa 51,000 miles. The original odometer will be supplied.
