Very rare and one of the last of the original version MK1 Jensen Interceptors. This is a UK home market right hand drive car.

Often described as the 'car of the stars' with multiple celebrities including Cliff Richard and the Royals choosing the Interceptor over the Aston Martin V8 alternative because of its more elegant appearance.

The subject of an extensive 3-year restoration by specialists Longstaff Refinishing where little has been spared the treatment it deserved. This is finished to a very high standard and we have restoration works photos in the file to show prospective purchasers.

The seats had a full retrim and present beautifully with all new carpets and headlining fitted.
The original engine was fully reconditioned with new pistons, reskimmed head, new carburettor, new style power steering pump and reconditioned radiator fitted.

The original gearbox was recently checked, serviced and new pipes fitted including other works totalling £2800 to produce a great box. Front axle has been reconditioned. New twin stainless steel full exhaust system with incredible sounds. New fuel tank, reconditioned suspension and new brake discs, pads and calipers.

The car runs superbly and is an enjoyable and comfortable drive.

The odometer currently reads just over 1,000 miles and replaced the original showing circa 51,000 miles. The original odometer will be supplied.

Its unusual to find any car with just two owners but this V5C states just 1 former keeper since new, the first owner owned the car for over 50 years. This is incredible.

The restoration company produced a brochure of the works which is present and there are copies of many invoices from its early years. This includes the invoice from when the car was new. It appears that the ex Chairman of British Car Auctions - David Wickens, in a previous life, was involved with Jensen and wrote on a number of occasions inviting the purchaser to a Harrods for the launch of this car.
