Vehicle Information
R&D for the ‘2’ started in the late 60’s and was originally planned for a 750cc. However, Kawasaki were beaten to the 750 market by the impressive CB750 four stroke.
For Kawasaki, experiments and developments continued in secret until the launch of the larger capacity Z900 with twin cams and huge flexibility through the gears the Z900 was easily the fastest production bike of its time.
Our beautiful and impressive Z900 was one of the last incarnations of the 900 series (AD) and was first registered in IOWA United States, in 1976.
Imported in 1997 with both details of the seller and buyer, including a copy of ‘Title’ document, it was not until 2010 that a huge strip down, restore and rebuild project took place.
Enclosed with a large file of invoices from as back as 1997 is a number of photographs and a DVD.
More recently works have been carried out including choke plungers, o rings, air jets, float bowl and many hair pipes from Viton.
This bike starts, runs perfectly and with its upgraded twin discs conversion, stops well too.
