We were fortunate to purchase this lovely MG B GT from an enthusiast, who has spent in excess of £11,000 having it professionally restored at Surrey Classics in 2021. Invoice and photos for this work are supplied.
The body was stripped to bare metal and was recoated in a high-end finish of the original Russet Brown. On top of this, it was fully under sealed, the rear wings were replaced, as well as the rear valance, inner seals, near side front wing and chrome trims all renewed. The interior has cleaned up well and the seats were retrimmed in the original colour.
Mechanically no stone was left unturned during its restoration. The following parts were replaced/upgraded: carbs were overhauled and cleaned, new rear adjustable Spax shock absorbers fitted, rear springs, radiator, coolant hoses, brake master cylinder, brakes, battery, exhaust. It also had a full service in 2022 with new spark plugs.
Fitted with MG B GT V8 alloy wheels and wrapped around them are 4 new continental tyres fitted. Lovely driver and overdrive is working as it should.
Supported by invoices and MOT history going back to 1978, the mileage is a genuine 79,000 miles.
