A very special example of a very rare car. The 3.0 litre injected Opel Monza offers 0-60mph in 8.5 seconds and a top speed of 133mph. When the facelifted GSE was introduced in 1982, featuring Recaro seats, digital instrumentation and a prominent rear spoiler, it was one of the most advanced and sought after vehicles to be seen in. A sporty coupe 2dr version of the succesful 4dr Vauxhall Royal was a welcome addition to the Vauxhall dealerships. It was far from mainstream and sold in limited numbers under the Opel brand which gave it huge quodos. At the time it had no rivals.
Presented in metallic blue with black velour interior, this superb example of this fantastic coupe is likely to be the best that still remains. Incredibly, the previous ownership has spent circa £100,000 and the invoices for all this work can be seen in the history file we hold on this car. We cannot get over it and still is a record for any car we have owned. From new It was powered by the smooth 3.0 litre straight six mated to an automatic gearbox. During the extensive works carried out for the eccentric wealthy owner the standard engine was not enough and a replacement upgraded and significantly more power engine was sourced from the more modern 24V Senator. With this engine came the upgraded Sports switchable gearbox also.

Now, this was a performance car to be reckoned with and today i can confirm it is a brilliant driver and could be used, ULEZ free as a daily driver. Whilst clearly a Classic in 1984 this car looked years ahead of its time and with the even more modern upgrades it drives superbly like cars of the 2000's. T
