There is something very special about this Triumph Herald convertible and no it is not it's impeccable condition and presentation. As some of you may have already noticed, this is the actual car which regularly featured in Last of the Summer Wine and was driven by Dame Thora Hird herself.
Included with the car is a framed pictorial collage of the car appearing in many episodes, as well as framed letters from the BBC TV Centre, Shepherd’s Bush confirming this. For many many years and following an obvious high-line restoration the car has been impeccably preserved and we doubt that you could find a better example. It is a great car for the collector, film hire companies and thanks to its excellent engine and mechanical order it can be enjoyed on a sunny weekend or road trip. We believe this car would be a hot favourite as a show-winner and you are unlikely to find one anywhere like this again.
Due to the nature of its ownership and on-set purpose, it was supplied to us with very limited maintenance history as this would likely have been retained by the producers at the BBC. The car now has an MOT and is ready for the road. It will be supplied with the current V5C document, photographic history of the car and a few recent invoices.
