Fully Restored 1977 Triumph Spitfire fitted with 1800 Zetec Power Kit producing 166 BHP.
This super fun and raspy Spitfire will bring a smile to your face every time you jump in it. Offering more performance and more reliability than your standard Triumph Spitfire, this 1800 Zetec powered example drives like no other Spitfire we’ve ever had.
First registered in September 1977, it has had a total of just 7 owners in 45 years. Finished in the classic Brooklands Green with cream leather bucket seats and cream leather door cards and complimented by a traditional wooden dash, wooden Nardi steering wheel and wooden gear shifter and sits on a set of 6 spoke Cobra alloys.
In the mid 1990s, it underwent an incredible full restoration. Included in the file are many photographs showing the body taken back to bare metal, the chassis off and restored, engine out etc. Almost every component was either replaced, upgraded or refurbished. During this time, the Spitfire was fitted with an Option Two Zetec Power Kit from Dunnell Engines at a cost of £1180.
To this day, it presents superbly well and virtually in the same condition as it did when it was restored - the paintwork, entire coachwork and underside are in truly excellent order.
Having covered just 19,000 miles since the restoration, it is likely to have been dry stored ever since as it presents so well.
Fairmont Sports and Classics will gladly supply this car with a full MOT, fresh oil and filter service and prospective buyers are welcome to view the vehicle’s excellent underside.
