Triumph TR6 – 1969 – USA Import – Chassis off Restoration – Low Ownership
Fresh to our inventory, is this wonderful 1969 Triumph TR6.
Recently acquired by our buying team, this is a fantastic find and was quickly given the green light to go into the main showroom to be lined up alongside our finest motors.
Carburettor model manufactured in 1969 and exported to USA when new. Repatriated in 1991 and subsequently converted to RHD.
Having undergone a comprehensive restoration circa 2005-2007, it remains in extremely good order which is a testament to its two careful custodians who have only covered 5000 miles since between them.
Supplied with the car is a USB stick containing supporting restoration photos which shows the body came off, chassis-off, glass out, interior stripped and engine removed.
The professional repaint was carried out by MG Raw Bodyworks and mechanical works were done by MG Raw Motor Engineers in Lincoln. Many outer and inner panels were supplied by Rimmer brothers and were replaced as part of the restoration.
More recently, it’s last owner treated it to a new hood, tonneau cover, rear bumper and seat refurbishment. Furthermore, there has been much mechanical works and servicing over the years, which is documented in the history file. Also present is the current V5C, good run of MOT certificates and workshop manuals.
Now registered as a historic vehicle making it road tax exempt, ULEZ compliant and MOT exempt.
