1972 Volkswagen Beetle 1.6 - Restored - ULEZ Compliant - Air-Suspension
Very pretty, well-presented 1972 Volkswagen Beetle with 1641cc air-cooled engine and fitted with air-suspension.
Lots of restorative works were carried out by an owner circa 2007-2012. A full magazine feature is supplied along with the enormous paper trail of history for the car.
In summary:
Restoration started in 2007-2012.
Chassis was stripped and had repairs to the frame head and floor pans.
Chassis was then seam sealed, primed and painted satin black.
Many original parts were refurbed, painted and replaced with new bolts.
A very solid and clean 1972 1200 Shell which was sourced, then prepared and painted.
Entire bodywork presents very well and the good-quality finish is there to be seen.

High quality materials used for the interior. Harrington Group did the seat covers and door cards.
Fitted with 1641cc engine which came with twin 34ICT Webbers and an Engle 110 cam

On top of that the owner kept virtually every invoice for parts that needed replacing. There is a gigantic pile of paperwork to go through and we highly recommend viewing and going through this history file.
Prior to the restoration, the original car had a fantastic history.
Original Volkswagen service book is present and has an incredible 35 stamps in the book dated between 1972 and 1985. There is then a 2nd book with another 8 stamps between 1986 and 1988.
Furthermore, there are many old MOT certificates coming with the car, SORN docs when it was off road.

That said, this Beetle is now registered as an historic vehicle thus meaning it does not require an MOT, it is road tax exempt and ULEZ compliant.
