This 1993 registered Scirocco GT II was built in the Karman factory in Stuttgart and was a very successful car for the VW group.
There is an experience to be enjoyed with this particular Volkswagen Scirocco unlike others, and that is - it looks and feels almost new - no VW of this generation ever feels as nice and appears as nice as this one does. This is because they were so good that owners put them to work and used them all the time. But this one clearly was loved and cherished for the nice weekend drive to somewhere.
The original famous tartan style trim is all in tact as is the dashboard, carpets and steering wheel - it's all so nice. The brilliant black paintwork shines like it just left the factory. Blaupunk Gamma radio also looking like it was fitted yesterday also with its red security light flashing brightly.
The GT II was the final Scirocco for 18 years and it was real quality - Porsche like in fact.
When Mr How bought this car in Aug 1993, it was featured in Motor Mart as the last to be purchased in the UK. In the article, they described it as a future classic when it was new and how right were they. Today, it is a very special classic indeed and I challenge anyone to find one anything like as good as this.
With 3 owners and mileage of only 30,000 with impressive service history neatly packaged into the original wallet. With a ton of paperwork including bills for works, factory spec sheets, original purchase invoice and letters from previous owners telling of how special this car is, this has to be the ultimate vehicle for any collector or could be the daily drive for another 20 years if you choose.
At Fairmont, we have not had an example that ticks so many boxes as this one does and that's why we went out our way to own such a special car.
It will be supplied with a full years MOT, oil and filter service, a 6 months Autoguard national warranty, and if required, finance can be arranged through our independent broker.
