Considered to be the ultimate Golf GTI of all. We’ve been on the hunt for a Campaign for the best part of 3 years. On the rare occasion that one becomes available, they are never good enough to retail. Trust us, this is not the case with this one.
Locally owned by the same family since 1986 until now, this iconic hot hatch has had a very good life - enjoyed, cherished and maintained in equal measure.
The Original Mars Red paintwork presents in a very nice, maintained condition. Likewise, the underside is in tidy order too and everything mechanically is in good health.
Over the last 39 years, it has recorded just shy of 139,000 miles, which is a modest 3500 miles per annum. Almost every year the car has been MOT'd, the certificates of which have all been kept and arranged in a large history file along with many SORN documents and invoices for maintenance and servicing.
The original VW book pack is supplied showing stamps up to 62,000 miles after which we have many invoices for further servicing maintenance and more recently recommissioning works.
Between 2016-2018 circa £5000 was spent – refreshing the running gear in addition a cambelt service in 2019 at 138,507 miles.
Supplied with two original VW keys, current MOT present until the 30th of September 2023 and we have the latest V5C.
